A visual inspection should be done. The visual inspection should include.  <br \/>  1. Coupleurs fissur\u00e9s, tordus ou endommag\u00e9s. <\/p>\n<p>2. Swivel assembly<br \/>Cracked swivel block<br \/>Loose swivel assembly<br \/>A swivel post retaining ring is attached<\/p>\n<p>3. Loose cap<\/p>\n<p>4. Cracked or damaged case<\/p>\n<p><strong>When testing hydraulic torque wrenches. Make sure the pump is working properly and is set to 10,000 PSI before connecting the tool.  <\/strong><strong>Connect the tool to the hose and test it using the remote pump. ADVANCE and WITHDRAW the tool several times. Make sure the tool operates properly and the pump pressure increases to 10,000 PSI \/ 700 BAR in the ADVANCE position.  <br \/> <\/strong><br \/> If the tool does not advance or retract. Check the following.<br \/>&#8211; Couplers are loose or damaged.<br \/>&#8211; Tighten and\/or replace couplers.<br \/>&#8211; Ratchet<br \/>Replace the ratchet if the teeth are stripped, missing or damaged.<br \/>Ratchet Assembly<br \/>Check the ratchet springs for damage.<br \/>Inspect the motor ratchet for damage. <\/p>\n<p><strong>The tool does not generate 10,000 PSI in the ADVANCE position and no external leaks occur. The tool has an internal leak. The internal leaks are in two areas, the swivel assembly and the cylinder.  <\/strong><\/p>\n<h3><strong>1 &#8211; <\/strong><strong>Swivel Assembly &#8211; Tool does not produce more than 2000 PSI<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Replace damaged swivel joints.<br \/> Inspect the swivel post for wear or damage.<br \/> Inspect the swivel block for damage.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>2- Cylinder &#8211; The tool will not build more than 6000 to 7000 PSI<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Check the piston and cylinder O-ring for wear or damage.<br \/> Inspect the piston to ensure it is not worn or damaged.<br \/> Inspect the cylinder wall for excessive wear.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>The tool has an external leak.<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>1 &#8211; Swivel Assembly<br \/>Bent or broken couplers.<br \/>Worn and\/or damaged seals.<br \/>Cracked or damaged swivel block.<br \/>Damaged swivel post.<br \/>2 &#8211; Cylinder<br \/>Worn and\/or damaged seals.<br \/>Loose end cap<br \/>Worn and\/or damaged piston assembly.<br \/>Damaged housing.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>If the square drive of the tool oscillates in both directions.
